Late last year Advance Tapes International Limited joined other Thurmaston based businesses, Charles Street Buildings and Raynsway Properties in contributing to the cleaning up and resurfacing of the car park at St Michael's Thurmaston Old School & Community Centre. The Community Centre was delighted with the speed and efficiency with which the work was carried out as it caused minimal disruption to either the surrounding businesses or users of the Centre.
St Michael's Thurmaston Old School & Community Centre is at the heart of village life in Thurmaston and offers a range of facilities and activities for the local community from slimming clubs and WI meetings to coffee mornings and play groups.
Advance has had operations in Thurmaston since its creation in 1964 and supporting local groups and charities has always been part of the company's ethos. The refurbishment of the car park at St Michael's Thurmaston Old School & Community Centre coincided with Advance strengthening its presence in Thurmaston as November 2012 saw the company open a new purpose built head office and manufacturing facility at the site of the former Norman Road industrial estate.
