Advance Tapes first developed its Premier Closure Plate Tape AT293 over 20 years ago, and since then has continued to supply Gas Installers with this tape approved to the British Gas Specification PRS10 Issue 2.
Advance Tapes has continuously sought the opinion of both users and training colleges to find out what they could improve in the tape’s performance and also to understand what makes some gas installers take the risk of using the wrong tape. This has led to several product improvements over the years.
Advance Tapes is keen to remind users that choosing tapes that are not approved for the specific application of sealing closure plates in the back of gas fires can be very dangerous. Any fumes, such as carbon monoxide, escaping from the back of the gas fire can be deadly. And as you can’t smell, see or taste it, it makes it even more important to use the PRS10 approved product, tested and used by registered gas installers since its introduction.
