Electrical Colour Coding

The 16th edition regulation as set out by the IEE are now mandatory since 1st April 2006. Ensure that you are coding with the right colours using our colour coding guide.

Colour Coding Pack: consisting of 10 rolls AT7 in the colours black, brown, grey, blue and earth.	3 Phase Pack: consisting of 5 rolls AT4000 printed L1, L2, L3, N and in electrical earth colours (AT7).	AT7 Electrical Tape: available as individual rolls in the new colour coding colours.

When using a tape for electrical insulation, be sure that you are using a tape that is approved by BS EN 60454, Type 2 (replacing the outdated BS3924). This gives the installer peace of mind that the tape is flame retardant and self extinguishing, an important consideration whenever there is a risk of fire.
