PRODUCTION MANAGER

Location: Leicester
Possible start date: Immediate

Advance Tapes is a leading independent manufacturer of specialist adhesive tapes, with over 50 years of industry experience. With a reputation for high quality products and the flexibility to meet the needs of different clients around the world, Advance Tapes offers a dynamic and collaborative working environment for all its employees.

We are looking for a Production Manger to work at our Coating Site that will lead the next phase of transformation for the site. Over the next 24 months we have an exciting plan to invest in new ancillary production equipment and transform a number of our long-standing processes with new and more environmentally friendly solutions. We are looking for a strong leader who will keep our customers at the forefront of their thinking as they develop and lead teams improving the site and satisfying our customers’ service requirements.

Essential Requirements:

 

  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualified.
  • Some formal technical or managerial qualifications.
  • Proven experience in a Lean industrial/Production environment.
  • Experience in managing and developing others
  • Experience interacting with complex production assets
  • Examples of improvements led or facilitated by individual
  • Familiar with HSE legislation appropriate to Manufacturing, including DSEAR and COSHH
  • Experience of applying Contractor Permitting, Risk Assessments, Accident and Near miss response
  • Experienced and capable manager of people
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft office suite to include day to day experience of excel sheets, excellent report writing skills and document management experience
  • Experience leading and operating manufacturing processes controlled by MRP/ERP type systems
  •  

    The successful candidate will possess the following skills: 

    • Ability to work autonomously
    • Able to work to strict deadlines with ability to cope with possible interruptions to daily workload
    • Able to lift, move tools, equipment, files and boxes as well as regulation footstools/ladders
    • Guided by legislation, performance targets and best practice
    • Able to ensure all data recording & input is accurate
    • Punctual and will foster that in others
    • Able to provide leadership where problem solving is required
    • Excellent interpersonal skills

    QUALITY AND INNOVATION MANAGER

    Location: Leicester
    Possible start date: Immediate

    We are looking for a Quality and Innovation manager that will lead our quality agenda through the development and continued implementation of our Business Management System. This role will lead our technical team providing technical support throughout the supply chain and lead our New Product Development activities.
    This role will have a wide remit, it is a deeply technical role with the opportunity to be involved in complex multi-disciplinary problem solving, it is also an enterprise-wide leadership role with responsibility to influence and develop Advance’s strong product offering. It will suit an enthusiastic inquisitive scientist who is looking to work at the leadership heart of a progressive and ambitious team.

    Essential Requirements:

     

  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualified.
  • Formal graduate qualifications in material science, chemistry or related science or engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in an Industrial/Production environment.
  • Multiple technical RCAs led to 100-year fix.
  • Programme management experience for new product development activities.
  • Have experience implementing change related to REACH, COSHH & ISO 9001.
  • Experienced and capable manager of people.
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft office suite to include day to day experience of excel sheets, excellent report writing skills and document management experience.

    • Extensive personal education and drive to widen their knowledge and develop others
    • Ability to provide leadership where problem solving is required

    • Able to work to strict deadlines with ability to cope with possible interruptions to daily workload
    • Able to work autonomously
